Occupational Health & Safety Management Certification

OHSAS 18001 is an Occupation Health and Safety Assessment Series for health and safety management systems. It is intended to help an organizations to control occupational health and safety risks. It was developed to help organizations meet their health and safety obligations in an efficient and effective manner.

This standard is almost identical to the ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standard and adopts the same methodology and general structure, but is directed at safety rather than environment. Any company with ISO 14001 in place will find it relatively easy to integrate OHSAS18001 within an ISO 14001 system. The ISO14001 environmental standard has proven to be one of the most effective of the standards and one of best received by those who have implemented its requirements. It is for this reason that OHSAS18001 has mirrored its requirements.
